The authors study the commutativity properties of the so-called slant Toeplitz operators. The \(k\)th-order slant Toeplitz operator \(U_{\varphi}\) with symbol \(\varphi(z) = \sum_{i=-\infty}^{\infty} a_i z^i \in L^{\infty}(\mathbb{T})\), where \(\mathbb{T}\) is the unit circle, is defined on the basis \(z^j\) of \(L^2(\mathbb{T})\) by \[ U_{\varphi}(z^l) = \sum_{i=-\infty}^{\infty} a_{ki-l} z^i. \] For the case of the standard Bergman space \(A^2(\mathbb{D})\) on the unit disk \(\mathbb{D}\), the \(k\)th-order slant Toeplitz operator \(B_f\) is defined by \(B_f = W_k T_f\), where \(T_f\) is the standard Toeplitz operator with \(L^{\infty}\)-symbol \(f\), and \(W_k\) is defined by \[ W_k(z^l) = \begin{cases} z^{i/k} & \mathrm{if} \;i \;\mathrm{is divisible by} \;k, \\ 0 & \mathrm{otherwise}. \end{cases} \] The authors show that two \(k\)th-order slant Toeplitz operators with harmonic polynomial, analytic, or co-analytic symbols commute if and only if their symbols are linearly dependent. Some characterization of a product of two \(k\)th-order slant Toeplitz operators is also given.
