Given an inner function \(\theta\), the closed invariant under the backward shift operator subspace \(K_\theta^p=H^p\cap \theta\overline{H_0^p}\) is the main object under investigation in the present paper. The author shows that the zero sets for \(K_\theta^p\) are different for different values of \(p\) as long as \(\theta\) is not a finite Blaschke product. The effect of nonstability of zero sets when passing from \(K_\theta^p\) to \(K_u^q\) with \(q>p\) and \(u\) being an inner function divisible by \(\theta\) is studied. The author discusses the relations with the famous Beurling-Malliavin multiplier theorem by proving the similar result for the spaces \(K_\theta^p\).
