Let \(p\) be a prime and \(G\) a strongly \(p\)-solvable finite group. This means that \(G\) is \(p\)-solvable and either \(p\geq 5\), or \(p=3\) and \(\text{SL}(2,3)\) is not involved in \(G\). Moreover, let \(b\) be a block of \(G\) with defect group \(P\) and Brauer correspondent \(c\) in \(H=N_G(Z(J(P)))\), where \(J(P)\) denotes the Thompson subgroup of \(P\). The authors prove that \(b\) and \(c\) have equivalent Brauer categories and that the block algebras of \(b\) and \(c\) are Morita equivalent. Also, the Morita equivalence is induced by an indecomposable \(G\times H\)-module \(M\) with vertex \(\triangle P=\{(u,u):u\in P\}\) such that a source of \(M\) is an endo-permutation module. This result can be viewed as a generalization of a group-theoretic theorem of Glauberman which is used in its proof.
