Consider the lattice differential equation \[ \dot u_n= d[u_{n+1}- 2u_n+ u_{n-1}]- f(u_n, a),\quad n= 1,2,\dots,\tag{\(*\)} \] with \[ f(u,a)= \begin{cases} u,\quad & u< a/2,\\ a-u,\quad & a/2\leq u\leq (a+ 1)/2,\\ u-1,\quad & u> (a+1)/2,\end{cases} \] \(a\in (0,1)\). The author investigates the stability of a monotone solution of \((*)\) satisfying \[ \lim_{n\to-\infty}\, u_n= 0,\quad \lim_{n\to\infty}\, u_n= 1 \] by means of a discretized Evans function. For \(d\geq 0\) there exists two such fronts, where for almost all \(d\geq 0\) one of the fronts is stable and one is unstable. There is a set of countable infinite number of values of \(d\geq 0\) related to a stability switch of the two solutions.
