    The authors study the existence of positive solutions for the delay differential equation with one-dimensional p-Laplacian \[ \begin{cases} \left( \phi _{p}\left( x^{\prime }\left( t\right) \right) \right) +\lambda p\left( t\right) f\left( t,x\left( t-\tau \right) \right) =0,\;t\in \left( 0;1\right) \\ x\left( t\right) =0,\text{ for }t\in \left[ -\tau ;0\right], \\ x\left( 1\right) =x\left( \eta \right), \end{cases} \] where \(\phi _{p}\left( s\right) =\left| s\right| ^{p-2}s\), \(p>1\), \( \phi _{p}^{-1}=\phi _{q}\), \(\frac{1}{p}+\frac{1}{q}=1\); \(\tau \), \(\eta \) are given constants with \(\tau >0\), \(0<\eta <1\); \(\lambda \) is a positive real parameter. There are established sufficient conditions for the existence of at least one positive solution using Guo-Krasnosleskii fixed point theorem [\textit{D. Guo, V. Krasnoselskii}, Nonlinear problems in abstract cones. Notes and Reports in Mathematics in Science and Engineering, 5. (Boston), MA: Academic Press, (1988; Zbl 0661.47045)] and sufficient conditions for the existence of at least three positive solutions using Avery-Peterson fixed point theorem [\textit{R. I. Avery, A. C. Peterson}, Comput. Math. Appl. 42, No.~3--5, 313--322 (2001 (2001; Zbl 1005.47051)].
