Some closed formulas and conjectures for Hodge integrals (Q1429225)

The present paper is an announcement of the proof of some closed formulas for Hodge integrals, including some low degree cases of a formula conjectured by \textit{M. Marino} and \textit{C. Vafa} [in: Orbifolds in mathematics and physics. Contemp. Math. 310, 185--204 (2002; Zbl 1042.81071)] which is based on string duality, and a conjecture by \textit{S. Monni}, \textit{J. S. Song} and \textit{Y. S. Song} [J. Geom. Phys. 50, No. 1-4, 223--256 (2004; Zbl 1077.14078)]. The complete proofs are to be written. Some related results have been provided in a joint paper with \textit{M. C. Liu} and \textit{K. Liu} [J. Differ. Geom. 65, No. 2, 289--340 (2003; Zbl 1077.14084)].
