    The class of band limited functions \(B_{\sigma,p}, \sigma > 0\), is considered, i.e., those \(p\)-integrable functions on \({\mathbb R}\) whose Fourier transforms in the distributional sense are supported in the closed interval \([-\sigma,\sigma]\). The main results read: (i) if \(f\in B_{\pi,p}, 1 < p < \infty, j = 0, 1, 2,\dots,\) then \[ \lim_{m\rightarrow\infty} \|f^{(j)} - s_{m}^{(j)}(f)\|_{p} = 0; \] (ii) if \(f\in B_{\pi,p}, 1 < p < q < \infty, j = 0, 1, 2,\dots,\) then \[ \lim_{m\rightarrow\infty} \|f^{(j)} - s_{m}^{(j)}(f)\|_{q} = 0, \] i.e., the function and its derivatives can be recovered from its sampling sequence \(\{f(k)\}\) via cardinal splines \( s_{m}^{(j)}(f)\in {\mathcal S}_{m,p} \subset L^p({\mathbb R})\) (of Schoenberg's type).
