This paper studies a generalized Lotka-Volterra system which describes a resource-based competition model consisting of two species which depend exclusively on one resource: this is supposed to be self-renewing in a logistic way. The two species are also subject to intraspecific and interspecific interference. Sufficient conditions are given for the existence of a globally attractive positive equilibrium solution. The result has been proved when the interactions are of linear nature but the nonlinear case is also discussed.
