This paper considers critical intermittency in random dynamical systems including the system introduced by \textit{N. Abbasi} et al. [Nonlinearity 31, No. 8, 3880--3913 (2018; Zbl 1394.37067)], who studied the existence and finiteness of absolutely continuous invariant measures. The authors use i.i.d. compositions of a finite number of ``bad maps'' which share a superstable fixed point and ``good maps'' that map the superstable fixed point onto a common repelling fixed point. The authors prove the existence of a unique stationary \(\sigma\)-finite ergodic measure \(\mu_{\mathbf{p}}\) absolutely continuous with respect to the Lebesgue measure \(\lambda\). They also study the density \(\frac{d \mu_{\mathbf{p}}}{d \lambda}\) and show that it is bounded away from zero and is not in \(L^q\) for any \(q>1\). Furthermore they study when \(\mu_{\mathbf{p}}\) is finite (relying on results by \textit{T. Nowicki} and \textit{S. van Strien} [Invent. Math. 105, No. 1, 123--136 (1991; Zbl 0736.58030)]) and infinite (relying on Kac's Lemma, see [\textit{J. Aaronson}, An introduction to infinite ergodic theory. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (1997; Zbl 0882.28013)]).
