The group \(U(\mathbf{k})=U(k_1)\times \dots \times U(k_m)\) is associated to a partition \(\mathbf{k}=(k_1,\dots , k_m)\) of \(n\) and is block diagonally embedded in \(U(n)\). Denote \(\mathbb{T}^m\) the centre of \(U(\mathbf{k})\). The author studies the Toeplitz operators with \(\mathbb{T}^m\)-invariant symbols acting on the standard weighted Bergman spaces on the uni ball \(\mathbb{B}^n\). He introduces the \((\mathbf{k}, j)\)-quasi-radial quasi-homogeneous symbols as those that are invariant under the group \(U(\mathbf{k}, j, \mathbb{T})\) obtained from \(U(\mathbf{k})\) by replacing the factor \(U(k_j)\) with its centre \(\mathbb{T}\). These symbols are used to build commutative Banach non-\(C^\star\)-algebras generated by Toeplitz operators, which generalize those from the literature and show that they can be built using groups. A description is presented for the action of such Toeplitz operators on monomiais through explicit integral formulas involving the symbols. The author proves that every Toeplitz operator with \(\mathbb{T}^m\)-invariant symbol has an associated Toeplitz operator with \(U(\mathbf{k})\)-invariant symbol in terms of which he describes some useful properties. From the representation theoretic viewpoint, beyond Schur's Lemma, the proofs of the main results depend on Haar measure on compact groups, the characterization if tensor products of irreducible representations, the computation of isotopic decompositions and the general properties of intertwining operators.
