Let $X$ be a metric space equipped with a measure satisfying the doubling and reverse doubling conditions. In this paper the authors develop the theory of new localized Hardy spaces $H^{p}_{\rho}(X)$ for $\frac{n}{n+1} < p \leq 1$ associated to critical functions $\rho$ defined on $X$, where $n$ is the doubling order. They obtain the atom decomposition characterization and the maximal function characterization associated to an approximation of the identity for the Hardy space $H^{p}_{\rho}(X)$. Moreover, they give a $T1$ theorem for singular integrals on the Hardy space $H^{p}_{\rho}(X)$ and BMO type spaces.
