It is known that the structure of observables in perturbative field theories can be formalized mathematically by using the language of factorization algebras. Based on factorization algebras, the authors investigate the topological twisting of supersymmetric field theories. More exactly, they construct \(\mathbb{E}_n\)-algebras from topologically twisted factorization algebras in the case when the map Obs\((B_r(0))\longrightarrow (B_R(0))\) is an equivalence. Here, Obs\((B_r(0))\) is the set of observables supported on the open ball \(B_r(0)\) of center \(0\) and radius \(r\). A review of the used mathematical machinery (factorization algebras, group action in the de Rham sense, Disk\(_n^{\mathrm{col}}\)-algebras) is presented in the first part of the article. The second part contains some important definitions (supersymmetry algebras, topological twists of supersymmetric factorization algebras by topological supercharges, superconformal algebras) and results from supersymmetric field theory. The last part presents a classification of twisting homomorphisms and topological supercharges in dimensions 1 through 10.
