Analytic properties of plane offset curves (Q2639345)

This is a presentation of the elementary properties of planar curves which are obtained as parallel curves to a given one, called offset curves in the language of CAGD. Also irregular points of the parallel curves are treated in this context. The results are discussed from the viewpoint of CAGD. In the reviewer's opinion the literature on differential geometry covers a lot of the computations exhibited by the authors in this paper.
