The authors considered the Cauchy-Kowalevski theorem for a coherent \(E\)-module. Let \(M\) be a coherent \(D\)-module on a complex manifold \(X\) and \(Y\subset X\) a complex submanifold which is non-characteristic. Recently \textit{R. Ishimura} [J. Math. Pures Appl. (9) 77, 647-654 (1998; Zbl 0906.35004)] has formulated and established the Cauchy-Kowalevski theorem microlocally, that is, he proved the following microlocal isomorphism \[ f_p^{-1}\text{RHom}_{E_X}(M,O_X) \cong\text{RHom}_{E_X}(f_p^{-1}M, O_X) \] for a coherent \(M\) defined near a point \(p\in T^*X\), where \(f^{-1}\) means the microlocal inverse image. In this paper they filled the gap in the proof of Ishimori that the microlocal inverse image and the ordinary inverse image are not distinguished strictly.
