The authors investigate set-valued autonomous and nonautonomous dynamical systems -- the latter in a process formulation -- on complete metric spaces. It is shown that strongly negatively invariant and compact sets contain a weakly positively invariant family and therefore entire solutions. Moreover, the strongly positively invariant case is considered, where the obtained invariant family is strongly invariant. Both discrete and continuous time systems are treated. In the nonautonomous case, these different types of invariant families are composed of subsets of the state space and mapped onto each other by the set-valued process. A concluding example illustrates the usefulness of the results by means of a bifurcation in a set-valued dynamical system.
