In the study of singularly perturbed systems, one can observe the existence of the so-called duck trajectories. As a rule they arise in the case when certain assumptions on normal hyperbolicity of the system fail. The author studies the conditions under which a singularly perturbed system has this type of solutions. The case with two slow and one fast variables was considered by the author, \textit{A.Yu. Kolesov} and \textit{N. Kh. Rozov} [Math. Notes 71, No. 6, 749--760 (2002); translation from Mat. Zametki 71, No. 6, 818--831 (2002; Zbl 1087.34034)]. In the present paper, the author generalizes the results to the case of an arbitrary number of slow variables and shows that the increase in the number of slow variables leads to the nonuniqueness of a duck trajectory with a given zero approximation.
