In this article the author proves a solvability and regularity result for the Dirichlet problem for the complex Monge-Ampère equation. More precisely, let \(\Omega\subset{\mathbb C}^n\) be a strictly pseudoconvex bounded domain. Given \(\varphi\in PSH(\Omega)\cap C^{0,\alpha}(\overline{\Omega})\) with \(0<\alpha\leqq 1\) satisfying \(\varphi|_{\partial\Omega}=0\), i.e., a plurisubharmonic Hölder continuous function vanishing on the boundary, consider the space \[ {\mathcal M}(\varphi ,\Omega):=\big\{\mu\,\big|\,\mu\text{ is a positive Borel measure such that }\mu\leqq (dd^c\varphi )^n\text{ on } \Omega\big\}. \] Then the author's main result is that if \(\int_\Omega (dd^c\varphi )^n<+\infty\), i.e., \(\varphi\) has finite total Monge-Ampère mass, then the Dirichlet problem \[ \begin{cases} u\in PSH(\Omega)\cap C^{0,\alpha'} (\overline{\Omega})\text{ with }0<\alpha'\leqq 1\\ (dd^c u)^n =\mu\in {\mathcal M}(\varphi ,\Omega)\\ u|_{\partial\Omega}=0\end{cases} \] is solvable (see Theorem 1.2 in the article). The author also proves that for a measure in \({\mathcal M}(\varphi ,\Omega)\) having finite total mass is in fact a necessary and sufficient condition for the solvability of this Dirichlet problem (Theorem 2.5).
