In the paper under review the author constructs a genus one analogue of the theory of associators and of the Grothendieck-Teichmüller group. The Galois side of the theory considers the arithmetic fundamental group of the moduli space of elliptic curves with \(1\) marked point and its action on the profinite completions of braid groups in genus one. The construction of genus one analogue of the Grothendieck-Teichmüller theory requires first a construction of the genus one theory of braided monoidal categories which enables the author to establish a connection to the fundamental group of the moduli space mentioned above. It turns out that the action of the fundamental group mentioned above factors via an explicit profinite group which admits an interpretation in terms of decorations of braded monoidal categories. This group is closely related to the profinite Grothendieck-Techmüller group. The scheme of elliptic associators is constructed as a torsor over this group. Then the author constructs an explicit family of elliptic associators. The existence of the latter allows to show that the Lie algebra associated with the profinite group is graded and has a relatively transparent structure. Another application of elliptic associators is the computation of the Zariski closure of the mapping class group in the automorpism group of prounipotent completions of the braid group in genus one. The analytic side of the story gives a connection between multi-zeta values and iterated integrals of Eisenstein series. The theory developed in this paper is closely related to the elliptic motives developed by several other authors.
