The authors investigate and provide error estimates of projection type methods for solving weakly singular integral equations. They first discuss properties of some integral equation and its solution. Properties of projection methods for solving integral equations on the space of piecewise linear functions are given. Error estimates of the collocation method and its modifications are given.
