In this paper, the author is interested in a Cauchy problem of the form \[\begin{cases} P(\partial_{m_0,t},\partial_{m_1,z_1},\dots,\partial_{m_N,z_N})u(t,\boldsymbol{z})=f(t,\boldsymbol{z})\\ \partial_{m_0,t}^ju(0,\boldsymbol{z})=\varphi_j(\boldsymbol{z}),\quad j=0,\dots,M-1 \end{cases}\tag{P}\] where \begin{itemize} \item\(M\) is a positive integer; \item\(P\) is a linear operator; \item the operators \(\partial_{m_0,t}\) and \(\partial_{m_j,z_j}\) with \(\partial_{\boldsymbol{m},\boldsymbol{z}}=\partial_{m_1,z_1}\dots\partial_{m_N,z_N}\) are formal moment differentiation; \item the inhomogeneity \(f\) is a formal power series in \(t\) with analytic coefficients at the origin of \(\mathbb C^N\); \item the initial conditions \(\varphi_j\) are analytic at the origin of \(\mathbb C^N\). \end{itemize} The formal moment differentiation were first introduced by \textit{W. Balser} and \textit{M. Yoshino} [Funkc. Ekvacioj, Ser. Int. 53, No. 3, 411--434 (2010; Zbl 1237.34149)] and are fundamental in many functional equations. For example, with some convenient choices of \(m\), they can represent either the usual derivative, or the \(1/p\)-fractional differential operator, or the \(q\)-difference operator. Under some generic assumptions, Problem (P) was already studied towards the convergence and the summability of its formal solutions (see for instance [\textit{A. Lastra} et al., J. Math. Anal. Appl. 430, No. 2, 1175--1206 (2015; Zbl 1327.30004); \textit{S. Michalik}, Funkc. Ekvacioj, Ser. Int. 56, No. 1, 19--50 (2013; Zbl 1282.35129); J. Math. Anal. Appl. 406, No. 1, 243--260 (2013; Zbl 1306.35007); Funkc. Ekvacioj, Ser. Int. 60, No. 3, 325--351 (2017; Zbl 1400.35067)]). In this paper, the author investigates the Gevrey regularity of the formal solutions of Problem (P). In particular, he proves, under some convenient hypotheses on the sequences \(m_j\), \(j=0,\dots,N\), that these ones and the inhomogeneity \(f(t,\boldsymbol{z})\) are together \(1/k\)-Gevrey, where \(k\) is the smallest positive slope of the Newton polygon of the linear operator \(P\).
