The paper introduces Hankel-type transformations for the field of \(p\)-adic numbers and a global Hankel transformation on the adele group of the field \(k\) of rational numbers. Here is how this is defined. Let \(\nu\) be a place of the field \(k\). If \(f\) is a smooth function on \(k_{\nu}\), the local Hankel transform \(H_{\nu}f\) of order zero of \(f\) is defined as \[ H_{\nu}f(\beta) = \int_{k_\nu}f(\alpha)J_\nu(\alpha, \beta)| \alpha / \beta| \,d\alpha \] for nonzero \(\beta \in k_\nu\), with \(J_\nu\) being defined as local Bessel-type functions. The paper provides a sequence of five theorems which represent, mainly, generalizations of \textit{A. Connes} trace formulas from [``Trace formula in noncommutative geometry and the zeros of the Riemann zeta function'', Sel. Math., New Ser. 5, No. 1, 29--106 (1999; Zbl 0945.11015)]. The first theorem is a generalization of the Archimedean part of Theorem 3 in the above-mentioned paper. The second one provides an inversion formula for the local Hankel transformation of order zero. The third is a Plancherel-type formula, namely, for a smooth function \(f\) on \(k_\nu\) \[ \| H_\nu f\| _{L^2(k_\nu, | \beta | \,d \beta)} = \| f \| _{L^2(k_\nu, | \alpha | \,d \alpha)} \] The fourth theorem states a trace formula for the local Hankel transformation, generalizing the non-Archimedean part of Theorem 3 in Connes' paper. The fifth theorem is essentially an extension of the local trace formula to a finite set \(S\) of places containing the infinite place of \(k\).
