A \(T_1\)-space is collectionwise normal if every discrete family of its closed subsets can be separated by a disjoint family of open subsets. A space \(X\) is hereditarily collectionwise normal if every subspace of \(X\) is collectionwise normal. The author proves that any lower semicontinuous closed-and-convex valued multimap from a hereditarily collectionwise normal and countably paracompact space into a reflexive Banach space has a (single valued) continuous selection. This result provides a partial answer to a conjecture due to \textit{M. M. Choban} and \textit{S. V. Nedev} [Math. Balk., New Ser. 11, No.1-2, 87-96 (1997; Zbl 0943.46003)]. An example given in the last section of the paper shows that the result established by the author is not covered by Michael's selection theorem.
