This is a nicely illustrated elaboration of a survey talk given at the 2015 László Fejes Tóth Centennial, partially reporting about work of several undergraduate research Geometry Groups at Williams College. On a manifold with density, the isoperimetric problem of the title seeks the least weighted perimeter to enclose given weighted volume. After discussing the known solution of the Gaussian isoperimetric problem as an example, a main topic is the log convex density conjecture. It states that for a smooth radial density on \(\mathbb R^n\), all spheres about the origin are solutions of the isoperimetric problem if and only if the logarithm of the density is convex. The article discusses the solution of this problem and some variations.
