Coupled coincidence point and common coupled fixed point problems are considered in partially ordered cone metric spaces in the sense of [\textit{L.-G. Huang} and \textit{X. Zhang}, J. Math.\ Anal.\ Appl.\ 332, No.~2, 1468--1476 (2007; Zbl 1118.54022)]. Some results are proved using a property introduced in [\textit{D. Đorić}, \textit{Z. Kadelburg} and \textit{S. Radenović}, Appl.\ Math.\ Lett.\ 25, No.~11, 1803--1808 (2012; Zbl 1295.54097)] instead of the usual mixed monotone property. An appropriate example is presented.
