It is known the existence of monomorphisms between the Artin groups of finite type \(A_n\), \(B_n\) and the affine type \(\widetilde A_{n-1}\), \(\widetilde C_{n-1}\). These monomorphisms induce maps on the set of conjugacy classes of the elements of the groups. The present paper provides results about the injectivity of these induced maps. The authors revise in the introduction several homomorphisms between these groups. The main result is stated in terms of the braid group of the disk. Namely Theorem 1.4: Let \(w\) be a periodic \(n\)-braid, and let \(\alpha,\beta\in Z(w)\). If \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\) are conjugated, then they are conjugated in \(Z(w)\). A braid is called a periodic \(n\)-braid if there is a non trivial power which lies in the center of the braid group, and \(Z(w)\) denotes the centralizer of the element \(w\) in the group. Following the classification of the braids, if \(\alpha,\beta\) are pseudo-Anosov then a stronger result holds, namely, any conjugating element from \(\alpha\) to \(\beta\) belongs to \(Z(w)\). The authors also explore cases where the monomorphisms do not provide injective maps on the conjugacy classes. They show Theorem 1.6: For \(n\geq 3\), none of the monomorphisms \(\psi_1\colon A(\mathbf B_n)\to A(\mathbf A_n)\), \(\psi_2\colon A(\widetilde{\mathbf A}_{n-1})\to A(\mathbf B_n)\) and \(\psi_3\colon A(\widetilde{\mathbf C}_{n-1})\to A(\mathbf B_n)\) induces an injective function on the set of conjugacy classes.
