The author presents some results on the analytical integration of the hypersingular kernel in the potential problem for the 3D symmetric Galerkin boundary element method (BEM). Adopting linear shape functions, the inner integrations are performed both for the finite part of Hadamard and for Lebesgue integrals, working in a local coordinate system. A study on the singularity of the external integral is finally conducted.
