    Existence results are given for the BVP \[ (E)\quad x''=f(t,x_ t,x'(t))\quad (C)\quad g(x_{\sigma},\dot x(\sigma))=0,\quad h(x_{\sigma},\dot x(\sigma),x_ T,\dot x(T))=0 \] where g and h are not necessarily linear or separated. The proof is based on a given topological principle which in turn, relays on Kneser's and consequent mapping properties. A rapid growth rate for f is assumed here and upper and lower solutions are constructed. By applying this theory, existence results for two-point BVP's, like \(x_{\sigma}=\phi\), \(x(T)=\xi\), or \(x_{\sigma}=\phi\), \(x'(T)=\eta\) and \(\gamma _ 0x_{\sigma}-\gamma _ 1\dot x(\sigma)=\phi,\) \(\delta _ 0x(T)+\delta _ 1\dot x(T)=\eta,\) \(\gamma _ i,\delta _ i\in {\mathbb{R}}\) are given as well as, for the next one ĝ(\(\| x_{\sigma}\|)=\xi\) and ĥ(\(\| x_ T\|)=\eta\).
