Quadratic orders with large class numbers. II (Q687513)

In part I of this paper [ibid. 34, 82--94 (1990; Zbl 0697.12007)], the author gave some estimates for the class number of a quadratic order from below by using an elementary method. In this paper, he intends to improve these results. Namely, by varying the method developed there, he provides further better and more general estimates for the class number in many cases, especially in the case of Richaud-Degert type, in terms of the divisor function of a natural number satisfying some conditions related to the discriminant of the order.
