Let \(G\) be any finite \(p\)-group. Does there exist an unramified extension of number fields \(K/k\), with \([k:\mathbb Q]\) as small as possible, such that \(\text{Gal}(K/k)\tilde\rightarrow G\)? The answer of the author is the following: when the Frattini subgroup of \(G\) is of order \(|G^p[G,G]|= p^m\), there exist an elementary Abelian \(p\)-extension \(k/\mathbb Q\) with degree \([k:\mathbb Q]= p^{m+1}\), and an unramified extension \(K/k\), such that the Galois group \(\text{Gal}(K/k)\) is isomorphic to \(G\).
