    The following boundary value problem for the singular perturbed semilinear differential equation is considered: \[ u_ t+v(x)u_ x- \varepsilon^ 2u_{xx}-u_{yy}=f(u,x,y,t,\varepsilon), \] \((x,y,t)\in\Omega=\{0<x<1\}\times\{0<y<1\}\times\{0<t\leq T\}\), \(u(0,y,t)=\psi_ 0(y,t,\varepsilon)\), \(\quad u(1,y,t)=\psi_ 1(y,t,\varepsilon)\), \(u_ y(0,1,t)=0\), \(\quad u(x,y,0)=\varphi(x,y,\varepsilon)\). The functions \(v, f, \psi_ 0, \psi_ 1, \varphi\) are supposed to be sufficiently smooth, \(v(x)>0\) for \(0\leq x\leq1\), \(f, \psi_ 0, \psi_ 1, \varphi\) depend differentiably on \(\varepsilon\) near \(\varepsilon=0\). The authors construct an asymptotic approximation \(U\) of order \(O(\varepsilon^ 2)\) for this problem and prove the existence and uniqueness of the approximate solution and also an estimate \[ \max_{\bar \Omega}| u(x,y,t,\varepsilon)- U(x,y,t,\varepsilon)|=O(\varepsilon^ 2). \]
