    Verf. geht von dem Postulat aus, den Impuls nicht durch \(P^2_x + P^2_y + P^2_z\), sondern durch eine Linearform oder \[ \mathfrak i P_x + \mathfrak j P_y + \mathfrak k P_z \] einzuführen. Mit der entsprechenden \textit{Hamilton}funktion \[ H= - e\varphi + \frac {1}{2m} \left \{\mathfrak i\left (P_x + \frac {e}{c} A_x\right ) + \mathfrak j (\dots ) + \mathfrak k (\dots )\right \} \] \[ \left \{-\mathfrak i \left (P_x - \frac {e}{c} A_x\right ) - \mathfrak j (\dots ) - \mathfrak k (\dots )\right \} \] erhält er die \textit{Schrödinger}gleichung \[ H\psi = W\psi \] unter Beachtung der Vertauschungsrelationen mit \[ W = - e\varphi + \frac {1}{2m} \sum P^2_i + \frac {e^2}{2mc^2} \sum A^2_i + 2\frac {e}{2mc} \sum A_i P_i -\frac {eh}{4\pi imc} {\mathfrak i\rot _x A + \mathfrak j \rot _y A + \mathfrak k \rot _z A}, \] was einem magnetischen Moment \[ -\frac {eh}{4\pi imc} \mathfrak i = 2 \frac {e}{2mc} m_x, \quad m_x = \frac {hi}{4\pi }\mathfrak i \] entspricht.
