For \(\alpha>0\), let \(A^\alpha\) and \(B^\alpha\) be the generalized operators of fractional integration on the space \(L^2(0,1)\) which are given for \(x\in[0,1]\) by \[ (A^\alpha f)(x)=\frac{1}{\Gamma(\alpha)}\int_0^x K(x,y) \varphi_{\alpha-1}(x,y)f(y)\,dy, \] \[ (B^\alpha f)(x)=\frac{1}{\Gamma(\alpha)}\int_x^1 K(y,x) \varphi_{\alpha-1}(y,x)f(y)\,dy, \] where the function \(K(x,y)\) is continuously differentiable on \([0,1]\times[0,1]\) and satisfies there the condition \(K(x,y)K(y,t)= \varphi(y)K(x,t)\), whence \(\varphi(y)=K(y,y)\); and let \[ \varphi_\alpha(x,y)=\left(\int_x^y\varphi(s)\,ds\right)^\alpha. \] Main result: If \(\alpha>0\), \(K\in C^{1+[\alpha]}([0,1]^2)\), \(K\) satisfies the equality above with \(\varphi(x)=K(x,x)\neq 0\) on \([0,1]\), and \(\int_I K(x,x)\,dx\neq 0\) for every interval \(I\subset[0,1]\), then \[ \lim_{n\to\infty}(n\pi)^\alpha s_n(A^\alpha)= \lim_{n\to\infty}(n\pi)^\alpha s_n(B^\alpha)=\left(\int_0^1 |K(x,x)|\,dx\right)^\alpha, \] where \(s_n(A^\alpha)\) and \(s_n(B^\alpha)\) are the \(n\)th singular values of the operators \(A^\alpha\) and \(B^\alpha\), respectively, and \([\alpha]\) denotes the integral part of \(\alpha\).
