Equations of the type \( u_t + f(u)_x = \varepsilon u_{xx} + g(u) \) are considered and profiles \(w\) of travelling fronts, i.e. of solutions of the type \(u(x,t)=w(x-ct)\), are studied. Here \(c\) is the speed of the front and \(w\) is non-decreasing with \(w(\xi ) \to 0,\;1\) as \(\xi \to -\infty ,\;+\infty \). It is known that for \(\varepsilon \geq 0\) such solutions exist for all \(c\geq c_{\varepsilon }^{*}\), \(c_{\varepsilon }^{*}\) being the minimal speed depending on \(\varepsilon \). It is assumed that \(f\in C^2([0,1])\), \(g\in C^{1,q}([0,1])\) (with \(q>0\)), \(f\) has a finite number of points of inflection (a possibly non-convex flux), \(g\) has simple zeros at \(0\) and \(1\) and is negative between \(0\) and \(1\) (a reaction term of monostable type). The main result states that for \(\varepsilon \to 0\), the profiles \(w_{\varepsilon }\) of travelling-fronts with the minimal speed \(c_{\varepsilon }^{*}\) converge in \(L^1(\mathbb {R})\) to the profile \(w_0\) of the unique (up to translation) travelling-front solution with the speed \(c_0^{*}\). The method of the proof gives also convergence results for the less-delicate fronts with non-minimal speed.
