We investigate functions \(f: \mathbb{Z}\to \mathbb{Z}\) such that \(x-y\) divides \(f(x)-f(y)\) for all pairs of distinct integers \(x,y\). Among other things we show that \(f\) is either a polynomial or exceeds a certain exponential infinitely often.
