The ``inspection paradox'' states that if \(X_ 1,X_ 2,..\). is a sequence of independent and identically distributed random variables and N is the first index such that \(X_ 1+...+X_ n\) exceeds a specified constant, then \(X_ N\) is stochastically larger than X. The author generalizes this result by showing a stochastic ordering of \(X_ 1,...,X_ N\).
