Within the framework of a ``signal-interference-noise'' model the problem of recognizing two signals from a sequence of independent vector observations is considered. The asymptotic normality of the log-likelihood ratio is demonstrated, and asymptotically sufficient statistics are found at a small ``(signal + interference)/noise'' ratio for an isolated observation. The asymptotically optimal algorithms for detection (reception) of signals and determination of their parameters are found. As an example, the case is considered where the interference is a time delay of the signal appearance. It is also shown that the results obtained for independent vector observations may be used under the conditions of \(m\)-dependence.
