This paper is the fourth in a series of five papers of the author studying {special Lagrangian submanifolds (SL \(m\)-folds) \(X\) (almost) Calabi-Yau \(m\)-folds \(M\)} with singularities \(x_1,\dots, x_n\) locally modeled on {special Lagrangian cones \(C_1,\dots,C_n\)} in \({\mathbb C}^m\) with isolated singularities at \(0\). Part III [ibid. 26, No. 1, 1--58 (2004; Zbl 1068.53039)] and this one construct {desingularizations} of \(X\), realizing \(X\) as a limit of a family of compact, {nonsingular} SL \(m\)-folds \(\widetilde{N}^t\) in \(M\) for small \(t_0\). Let \(L_i\), \( i=1,\dots,n\), be an asymptotically conical SL \(m\)-fold in \({\mathbb C}^m\), asymptotic to the cone \(C_i\) at infinity. Part III studied simpler cases, where by topological conditions on \(X\) and \(L_i\) obstructions to the existence of \(\widetilde{N}^t\) are avoided. This paper considers more complex cases when these obstructions are nontrivial, and also desingularizations in families of almost Calabi-Yau \(m\)-folds \(M^s\) for \(s\in {\mathcal{F}}\), rather than in a single almost Calabi-Yau \(m\)-fold \(M\).
