A discrete multi-input multi-output control system, which is composed of \(n\) subsystems, is considered. A sliding mode controller is proposed. For each subsystem, this controller is a standard fuzzy system, which has two inputs and a single output. A coupled double pendulum system is used to illustrate the performance of the proposed controller.
