This paper deals with the construction of many (quasi)periodic retrograde orbits for the three-body problem which minimize the action functional in a suitable path space. The author considers many different configurations, in particular triple stars and double star and a planet, with several choreographies. The results apply to a wide range of masses, so as there is no need that some of the masses were the same. It is important, that some of the constructed periodic orbits have very short period, differently from most of the periodic orbits obtained by classical methods.
