Existence of solutions for semilinear elliptic equations on \(\mathbb R^N\) (Q2251326)

In this paper, the existence of a solution to the following problem is obtained: \[ -\Delta u+ \lambda u = g(x,u), \quad x \in \mathbb{R}^N, \] where \(\lambda > 0\) and \(g\) is asymptotically linear. The proof relies on results due to \textit{S. Li} and \textit{M. Willem} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 189, No. 1, 6--32 (1995; Zbl 0820.58012)] for operators having a local linking at \(0\).
