Consider in \(D= (0,1)\times (0,T)\) the telegraph-like system \[ \alpha (x) u_t + v_x + F(x,u) = f(x,t), \;\beta (x) v_t + u_x + G(x,v) = g(x,t), \] with boundary conditions of the form \[ (-u(0,t),u(1,t)) \in L (v(0,t),v(1,t)), \;0<t< T, \] and initial conditions. The author attempted to prove some high regularity results for the solution of this problem by using the semigroup approach, as developed by \textit{V.-M. Hokkanen} and the reviewer in the book [Functional Methods and Differential Equations. Chapman \& Hall/CRC Research Notes in Mathematics. 432 (2002; Zbl 1032.35003)] for the case \(\alpha \equiv 1\) and \(\beta \equiv 1\). Probably the results stated in the present paper are true, but there are mistakes in it. For example, in the proof of Theorem 3.1, the author says that \(A\) generates a \(C_0\)-semigroup in \(X=C[0,1]\times C[0,1]\), but this is not the case since \(D(A)\) is not dense in \(X\).
