Explicit representations of biorthogonal polynomials (Q1895980)

The paper is an addition to previous investigations of the authors [SIAM J. Math. Anal. 21, No. 2, 483-509 (1990; Zbl 0698.33007)]. Namely, the Möbius quotient functions are characterized by a linear differential equation and a new explicit representation of the underlying biorthogonal polynomial is presented. The case of coefficients of Möbius quotients which are linear, more general, polynomial functions of \(n\) is considered in detail (corresponding weight functions are generalized hypergeometric functions).
