The notation of the Cline-Greville \(W\)-weighted Drazin inverse of a rectangular matrix is extended to bounded linear operators between Banach spaces. New characterizations of the \(W\)-weighted Drazin inverse are given and the perturbations and the continuity of the \(W\)-weighted Drazin inverse are studied.
