The article contains two results. Let \(\mathcal C\) be a weakly integral (i. e., FP-dim \(\mathcal C \in \mathbb Z\)) braided fusion category. First, if the simple objects of \(\mathcal C\) have Frobenius-Perron dimension \(\leq 2\), then \(\mathcal C\) is solvable. This result was extended in [\textit{S. Natale}, J. Noncommut. Geom. 8, No. 4, 1043--1060 (2014; Zbl 1315.18010)] as follows: if the Frobenius-Perron dimension of every simple object in \(\mathcal C\) is a power of a fixed prime number, then \(\mathcal C\) is solvable. A further generalization is given in [\textit{S. Natale} and \textit{E. Pacheco-Rodríguez}, Monatsh. Math. 179, No. 4, 615--649 (2016; Zbl 1372.18008)]; assuming that there are prime numbers \(p_1, \dots, p_r\) such that the Frobenius-Perron dimension of every simple object in \(\mathcal C\) is a power of some \(p_i\), then \(\mathcal C\) is weakly group-theoretical; and under some mild conditions, it is even solvable. Second, if the simple objects of \(\mathcal C\) have Frobenius-Perron dimension \(\leq 2\) and the universal grading group of \(\mathcal{C}\) is trivial, then \(\mathcal C\) is group-theoretical.
