The author considers a separable real Banach space \(E\) which is simultaneously a real algebra without nilpotent elements. In \(E\) he considers what he calls an ``excellent cone'', i.e., a cone which is a subspace of \(E\) and is closed under multiplication \{in the algebra \(E\)?\} and which, moreover, satisfies \(0<\|x\|<\|y\|\) for \(x,y\in X\) whenever \(0<x<y\). He then tries to prove several random fixed point theorems for random \(1\)-set-contractions. In the abstract, the author announces that ``new conclusions are proved by means of random fixed point index in the theory of random topological degree'', but there is no contribution to either of these concepts. This reviewer has been unable to understand the article. The problems with the author's awkward use of English may be surmountable, but the mathematics still remains obscure.
