Let \(M\) be a metric space. A subset \(A\) of \(M\) is said to be nonexpansive retract of \(M\) if there exists a nonexpansive map \(R:M \to A\) such that \(R(a)=a\) for every \(a \in A\). The mapping \(T:M \to M\) is called NR-map if \(\text{Fix}(T)\) is a nonexpansive retract of \(M\). The authors establish some common fixed point results for Banach operator and symmetric Banach operator pairs in metric spaces, uniformly convex geodesic metric spaces and \(R\)-trees for single- and multivalued mappings satisfying conditions that generalize the concept of nonexpansiveness.
