In a real reflexive strictly convex Banach space \(E\) with a uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm, the authors consider a uniformly asymptotically regular nonexpansive semigroup \(\{T(t)\}\) from \(K\) into itself, where \(K\) is a nonempty closed convex subset of \(E\). Assuming that \(\{T(t)\}\) has a nonempty set of common fixed points, convergence theorems for both implicit and explicit viscosity type fixed point iteration schemes are proved. The common fixed point obtained as the limit of the sequences thus constructed is shown to be the unique solution of a co-variational inequality in the set of all common fixed points of the semigroup.
