The paper deals with the class of nonlinear evolution problems \(u'(t)+Au=f\), \(t\in (0,T)\); \(u(0)=u_0\) governd by a time-dependent monotone and coercitive operator \(A\). A class of discontinuous Galerkin methods on time covering \(h\)- as well as \(hp\)-versions, on non-uniform time grids is considered. The convergence of the approximate solutions to the weak solution of the problem is proved. Results on the existence, uniqueness, and stability of the numerical solution as well as a priori estimates in the case of sufficiently regular exact solution are presented.
