In the present paper the authors apply the KKM technique to prove, among others, the following fixed-point theorems without compactness condition: Theorem 3.1. (a generalization of Fan-Browder's theorem). Let \(E\) be a convex subset of a vector space \(X\) and \(G:E\to 2^E\) be a map satisfying the following conditions: (1) there exists \(\{y_i:1\leq i\leq n\}\subset E\) such that \(\text{co}\{y_i:1\leq i\leq n\}\subseteq \cup^n_{i=1}G^{-1}(y_i)\) and \(G^{-1}(y_i)\cap\text{co}\{y_i:1 \leq i\leq n\}\) is open in \(\text{co}\{y_i:1\leq i\leq n\}\) with \(\text{co}\{y_i:1 \leq i\leq n\}\) equipped with the inherited Euclidean topology, where \(G^{-1}(y)= \{x\in E:y\in G(x)\}\); (2) \(G(y)\) is convex for all \(y\in E\). Then \(G\) has a fixed-point. Some result on Fan's minimax theorem and coincidence theorems are obtained.
