Let \((M,d)\) be a complete metric space and let \(X\) be a nonempty bounded subset of \(M\) satisfying the following property: for each compact subset \(A\subset X\) and each \(\gamma>0\), there exists a continuous map \(h:A\to X\) such that each \(x\in A\) is contained in the open ball with center \(h(x)\) and radius \(\gamma\) and the intersection of all closed balls containing \(h(A)\) is contained in \(X\). Assume, in addition, that \(T\) is a closed multivalued \(k\)-set contraction (\(0<k<1\)) such that \(\overline{T(X)}\subset X\). The author proves that \(T\) has a fixed point, provided that \(T\) has the KKM-property which is defined as follows: whenever \(F\) is a multivaled mapping from \(X\) to \(X\) such that for each finite set \(A\subset X\) the intersection of \(X\) with the intersection of all closed balls containing \(A\) is mapped by \(T\) into \(F(A)\), then \(\{\overline{F(x)}| \;x\in X\}\) has the finite intersection property.
